I'm the same way but I take mine to 6800-7000. If it is built good that shouldn't hurt it.

But I had one big block blow up ( didn't really blow up..broke a roller lifter) and it sidelined me for 2-3 years cause I lost the whole engine except the heads. and didn't have the cash for a new block at the time.

Yeah,the bottom end doesn't scare,I'm just paranoid about valvetrain letting loose.Oh well.....tear it up!!!

Me too. I am paranoid Floyd when it comes to the valve train. I lost a 454 because a lifter broke and cracked the block..
