I have been told that by a couple people on here. The cam was recomended by Crane,BUT, they recomended it for my current combination...which has a pair of bone stock 074 Aluminum heads. The thing is done by 6500 or so. I may change that later.
My main question isn't really which BRAND of head or what head in particular...as I know that opinions will vary greatly on that. What I really wanted to know was "How much head in terms of intake port volume would a 540 such as this need if the RPMS were kept at 7000 ? " I obviously don't want to buy too small, but at the same time it doesn't make much sense to put a head on it big enough to pull to 8000 rpm when I know I won't twist it that tight.

I am understanding that now Curtis has a smaller version of his Edlebrock24 deg for engines that are a little smaller than the original application was for. If he hs it developed yet that will surely be the best bang for the book.

The Brodix 2x 340 is one of my favorite castings to port, ..
it's a 26* head but still works very well, ..

Get the chamber cnc option, .. or have them professionaly ported.
