in the high end markets, Pro Stock and Nascar Cup, the cylinder head chambers are getting smaller with shallower valve angles. This alows either a flat top piston or a dished piston to keep the compression up and still get good quench and flame travel.

yep, acomplish the high compression with a flat piston and make
the chamber small, but for those with large chambers can use the
dome to fill the chamber, but flats are a better plan to get high
compression, good luck :wink:
