clearance

Default clearance

i got 0.085 valve to piston clearance on a 496 bbc .it will only see the track .will be good ???

Intake is fine, exhaust needs to be at least .110 to .120.

I always heard .080 int .100 exh I check mine with zero lash so I have a cushion

Yep me too. Those are safe numbers. You can run them considerably tighter depending on max rpm and rod type. Many stock eliminator cars run under .040, but they don't usually expect to get 300+ passes either...
