Scam from (307) 545-5391
Hi Guys,
I placed an ad to sell a carburetor and someone tried to fish me into a scam. There were a few red flags:

I placed an ad to sell a carburetor and someone tried to fish me into a scam. There were a few red flags:
- The response came within a few hours of placing the ad. That usually doesn't happen.
- The guy didn't try to haggle on price. That never happens.
- He was in a big hurry and was going to use his own shipping company. I don't think so.
- He was going to send more than it was worth and I was supposed to send a refund. Yeah, I'm out.
If you are interested, here is the text exchange:

Me: Yes sir
Monday, 2015-06-29Me: Yes sir
307-545-5391: Okay I'll like to buy it asap and i will be sending a certified check from my bank to you overnight via USPS,reply me back with your name and address to send the check out and will also arrange shipment through my shipper after you have cash at hand.
Me: Hi. You really don't need to overnight payment. If you want it, your word is good enough to hold it. Anyway my contact information is <snip>. Please send me your info and I'll get the package ready to go.
Me: Just so you are aware. If you send a check or money order, I will wait for it to clear my bank before shipping. If you want it sooner, you will need to use PayPal.

307-545-5391: Thanks for the information, the check of a sum of $1.000.00 will be your business, but due shippers policy is that, the shipment funds ey to the shipper that will come for the pickup, it’s because is mailed and you will deduct your $300.00 and send the remaining mon till have about four goods that they will pickup in instates with yours, that why the shipment fee was $700.00, i know this is non of has to be send by you to show you have permitted them to come for the pickup at your address, let me know if you really want to sell it to me. I will like to mail the check this morning , please get back to me if i should move on .
