Default Profilers vs afr for sbc 388

Which head would be best for a sbc 388 stroker eng for street use in a 82 pickup. Will be a weekend cruiser and maybe use to spank some imports butts  Bottom end is a 010 block with a eagles rotating assembly with -7cc pistons. Looking for heads cam and top end. Thanks guys for the help.

Default GO with AFR.

IF you want a street race head and still cruise all over the place
you can't go wrong with AFR 195 or 210's in a 383 mild H-roller with 750 or even 850 4150HP or Demon Race 825 with a well ported Edelbrock Air Gap with a cam in the 240@50 range on a 108 lobe will do plenty of damage get some gears at least in a 410's or a 700R4 tranny even better with a 3500 stall.
It all depends on your goals. Not to mention AFR has a 2 year defect warranty and a lifetime garantee on the casting. I've never had a probelm with their heads but I do only live 10 miles from thier location. Ask here on racing junk or even better talk to Tony Mamo at AFR he'll set you up. You should find what your looking for an AFR's website on their dyno tests. Get an easy 500HP with 195's and 550HP with the 210's.

I have a 700r4 trans with 4.11 in the rear. I guess I will go with a 3500 stall. I talked with chad speier the other week about some profilers. For $1600 I can get his 210's with the econo port job. Should put me in the 550 hp range. With a out of the box intake according to him. I also spoke with someone over at profiler and can pick up a set of 210's out of the box loaded with 2.05 valves for $1050. Should support around 450 hp out the box.

Chad Spier is one of the greatest head porters in the buisness today a friend of mine also customer has used his Comp. Ported Profiler 210's with 2.10 1.60 with a Super Victor and a 950 Quickfuel-Annular Booster in a 383 with 11.25:1 compression with a custom Oregon Cam H-roller on a 108 lobe 1.65/1.5 stud rocker with 1 3/4 headers put out 570HP@6600 536tq @5100. Again it all depends on your goals and how much you wold like to spend.
