transmission problem
I have a powerglide which I recently rebuilt. We put in a new 588 bbc, and new converter. When motor comes up close to stall, the car breaks loose. won't do it at lower rpm. Any help as to where I should look, please let me know.

Just to confirm terminology;

Might correct the problem by re-adjusting the band, instead of backing off 3 1/2 turn try 3 turns.
Just a thought :?:

Sounds like you might have a worn pump and not producing enough pressure.

Did you check what we talked about the other day? If you need any help, you know I'm less than a mile and a phone call away...
