Kinda like the track in Mobile. It's only 600' with a short shutdown.

Yeah , this is not where I race normally , but it is about 25 miles from the house so I do go when I don't feel like traveling , they run a quick 8 around once a month , I don't bracket race , that is their main program , I like to watch it , I just stink at it

Where exactly is Byram? i've heard about it for yrs. but donot know where it's located at in Jackson. As i recalled they wanted to certify it NHRA, but could only get it certified to 500' due too the shutdown length. Do they have regularly scheduled events? or is it mostly just T&T.

Hey Zip , it is about 5 miles south of i-20 in jackson , they were nhra certified but have dropped it . they run a regular bracket program with their own points chase , here is the man's e-mail that runs the track if you need more info [email protected]
cars that run in mid 6's and low 7's in 1/8 have no problem stopping there ..
They have run wheelie cars , the dixie door slammers , and Wesly Jones of ADRL has done some testing there before ,it's a good little track..
on tuesday nites they have test and tune for $10.00 usually with a pretty good crowd , alot of nitrous cars..hollar at me and we will go one nite....Paul

Zip, when you head north on 55 there is an exit for Byram, the track is about 1/2 mile from the exit behind a church...

O'k now i'm a little confused, if i look at a map it says i come into Jackson from the west on I-20 then head south on I-55 to the Byram exit, is that the way it is?
Is there a website where a person could get the schedule or a flyer that you might have with the schedule that you post if you have a scanner.
