Default Mid motor plate extension kit.

Just installed on my car bbc/tube chassis and my problem is with the pilot spacer for 1/4 plate. The id of the spacer is 1.4" and the od of the pilot on the converter is 1.703". TCI tech told me the pilot on the conv. should fit inside the pilot bushing extension. If so then the conv. would only be bushed and not spaced. So do I not use this or use crank spacers that go on between the flexplate and crank end . ?The kit I have is TCI 745504.The end of the pilot spacer is even with the end of the crank so the converter will be next to impossible to line up.

My understanding is that TCI race converters have a sleeve on the pilot end. The extension replaces that sleeve with a longer one, so you'll have to remove the existing one......if you don't have a TCI converter, you may have to go a different route.....
