Seiously, Olds... you really should run for president (you know you would have my vote). Anyways, thanks very much for the explaination. Putting on a larger & new carb/fuel system on this car has caused me to tweek things a little. The information you posted is helpful. Thing is, the QF 950Hp carb comes stock w/ 4.5 PV (now has 2.5) & 76 primary jets & like 86 on the secondaries.... I have not changed them at all. The rear PV is blocked. The acc pumps are both 30. I cannot call this a mystery yet because the process of elimination is not done... I am pretty sure the reg is toast too. I assume by the fuel comming into the top of the reg is not good... causing fuel pressure problems. Anyways, I will print what you wrote & chew on it for awhile. Thanks again.
