Our density altitude here can change as much as 1500 ft during the course of a day, this obviously will affect et's. My tuner friend suggests an air fuel meter,I'm not aware of anyone using one here. Any thoughts? Pro's con's?

we use a lm1 inovative here from time to time but ill tell you this it works great when it works. we go through alot of o2 sensors especially using race gas. for some reason even with pump gas we see alot of errors occur when tuning. we set a car up with one here at the shop and brought it to a local dyno shop just to check everything and the air fuel ratio that we set with the lm1 was damn close to his expensive wide band. hope that helps just make sure you keep a couple of o2 sensors around for it.

I have an Altronics setup. I used it all last year and so far have not had to replace anything. It is absolutely great for setting up the fuel. One thing you have to remember is it will only tell you what conditions you had during the LAST run. You would have to record all info at all conditions to be able to guess what changes to make if you you see a DA change. That said it is absolutely the best tuning aid I have ever seen. You can actually change ONE jet size and see the difference. If you want 13.5 you can put it dead on

I swear by my NGK AFX wideband air/fuel meter. Best $300 bucks I ever spent on my engine.
