Default My very first drag car I just bought

Its a 79 olds 406SBC for now. Guy said it would run 10.5's. I made 7 passes. Went from mid 12's to 10.87@119 the last pass. Every pass got better. First 2 passes scared the sh!t out of me. Pulls the front wheels 14" on launch. Im hooked.

neat car.

The first time I took my car down the track I felt like I must have been setting a new track record or something

til they gave me the time slip.
P.S. I left on the top yellow too....I had a trans brake but forgot to push the button..... ops:

Cool car,but just remember to drive safe and use your head.
I have a THINK sign on my dash. That helps me to relax and go through the motions before I hit the line. Sometimes the guy in the other lane wants to play games with you but if you race your own race you'll end up kicking his ass
Remember to have fun, thats what its all about

Very sweet! I just got rid of a '78 last year. Missed it almost immediately.
