Default Trouble with hooker headers on my 55 chevy gasser

I have a stock steering box and a set of hooker fenderwell headers they wont fit over the box do I have to move the motor or do they make headers to fit the 210s steering box

Did you get them from Speedway Motors? I bought some many years ago and they did not fit. Cost me the UPS charge both ways when they said it's not their fault. :evil:

back in the early 80s i had a problem with hookers hitting my steering box.i dont remember what brand i ended up using but the next obnes fit. but i do remember that even those were pretty damn close.my buddy also had the same with his 55. he moved his engine forward and over about 1/4 inch both ways..if ya got any how about pics!

One other thing. You have to redo the parking brake as well.
