Default Buying from Canada

I am buying a car from Canada and he is brining it half way into the US for me. Is there anything special I should get besides the title and a bill of sale. Will I need anything else to register the car. Just wondering if anyone else has done this on here and had any problems.

Thanks Guy

I know if I'm buying a car out of the states I have to give customs the title 72 hours before crossing .They check to make sure the car is free of leans and is not stollen.Best to call them to make sure.

Yes he having to do that with my car to get it back across but hes not having to do anything to get his over here. I just wondered if anyone ever had a problem when they went to switch the titles in the states.
