Default Building a Ford race motor

I'm looking into building a Ford race motor for a dirt track car. Engine needs to be capable of turning 9,000 rpms.

My main question is blocks. Is the Dart the only way to go or do the Cleveland, Windsor, M blocks hold up? As far as Ford, what is the best block to use.

I'm a Chevy guy and don't know much about Fords other than the rule book shows the Ford to have some advantage in the class this motor will be built for.

Any help will be appreciated.
