I know ya'll ain't knockin' my ride.I just wanted some other points of veiw.Alot of times it's easy to just say"well,it's been working so far".That don't mean it's right. My girlfriend is wanting to drive this thing so I'll probably be spending some money. She's too cute to get hurt by a piece of low-budget junk

Eric, I wouldn't mess with the Olds rearend anymore than it has been already that thing is a realic, welding up the spiders is probably the only way you'll ever make a posi out of it and we all know that's not safe.
I'd list it on ebay and try to re-coop some money and then stick a nine inch in there and be done. Who knows maybe Big Daddy Don Garlits is looking for one to put in one of his swamp rats, you never know.

Swamp Rat!?You think I'll be making mo'power than the Big Daddy??!!Biggest reason for keeping it is for nostalgia,I don't wanna be nostalgic over my feet though!!I'd say your probably right, but with new internals,I like the sound of the 9.3" ring gear that is in the Olds
