Default Advice needed. 2009 Burbon Vortec Flex Fuel

Hello GM Owners ill try and get right to the point

VEHICLE:

2009 Flex Fuel 5.3 Suburban 4x4 160k

THE ISSUE:

Last week while on the freeway my stablitrack light came on and my truck quickly starting making this ticking noise. Diving more into the motor I found that one of the FANCY GREAT design Hydraulic lifter was the issue.(Collapsed) Needless to say its time to dive into the motor. While in there I know I would like to possibly purchase one of those AFM/DOD Delete kits from Texas Speed. Here comes the Challenge.

If I were to purchase the AFM/DOD kit, the cam has to come out. Which segways into new springs which segways into "MIGHT AS WELL PUT A NICE CAM IN IT" which can segways into tuning issues which can segway into making sure you have the DOD deleted from the ECU. My Question is simple.

No matter what my lifters need attention and I have to dive deep into the motor. So would you upgrade the cam and do all of the segways, or replace all lifters including the hydraulic lifters and PRAY. Your thoughts?

Chris

Wow, this thread is OLD. I don't suppose you still need an answer. I just deleted it in my 2012 model Chevy though
