So let's shorten the 1/4 up to the 1/8 mi to make up for one's in ability to win / go fast by racing the 1/4mi. How about if one can't win/ go fast in the 1/8mi, maybe we should go to 330'...or maybe 60' or how about lets just go for reaction time.
I guess we better call NHRA and have them reset the stripe at 1/8 mi because all the 1/8 mi guys have the race won at half track......give me a break, If you can't run with the big dogs...... stay on the porch.

1/8 -1/4 who gives a shiit, it's a race track aint it? I can change the gear in my car and run the 1/4 all day long, dont matter to me so long as I get to race!!!!!

im comin in late on this but my opinion is yourace what you can i know plenty of people who spent all their money settin up for our 1?8 mile drag here in odessa before penwell opened and now people make fun of em for not goin to the 1/4 mile in penwell but the truth is theres gears and entire car are set up for 1/8 and wouldnt do any good in the 1/4
