Avgas comes in two "main" grades. avgas 100 which has a high lead count, and avgas 100LL which is a low lead content, but is NOT lead free, it can contain upwards of .57g per liter or .075 ounces per gallon.
Avgas 100 is twice that.
VP makes unleaded race fuel MS109

Too expensive on VP MS109? Im in Mississippi and sell Sunoco. They have 3 unleaded products GT 100, GT Plus 260 and the Nascar spec fuel with the last two being about the same price as Standard 110. Find you a Sunoco dealer. AV gas cost is not much off race fuel.

Dont get me wrong on the race fuel. I run it in my MX quad. Little different running threw 3 gallons a weekend compared to 10 gallons a day for offroad. If i could afford it i wouldnt question the prices. Thanks guys.. and ill look into the sunoco.. Has to be unleaded.. what kinda price is on it jax?

I have ran it in my 502 in a front engine dragster for seven years now with no problems. I did find that the holley blue fuel pumps did not seem to like it due to its dryness so I add two ounces MMO to each five gallons and that fixed the problem. I pay 5.50 a gallon in WA.

Topfuelryan, What compression and rpms were you running in your 502 :?:
I've got a 496 bbc 12.8 to 1. I was thinking of giving avgas a try.

Not to interrupt Topfuelryans answer...I ran it it a .100 over 454 with 13-1 comp. @ 7000 rpms with no trouble.
