Default cracked block should i run hardblock or?

ok a buddy has a 454 block .060 over he had two sleevesinstalled and 400.00 later hbe finds a small crack at the bottom of one of the new sleeves . it goes from the sleeve tward to oil gallery at pan rail . he is still building it anyway. we sort of thought we should put some hard block in it and let it set up then run some k&w block seal. any help would be greatfull to prevent future problems...thank you

Take it back and have the sleeve replaced by the shop that installed it.you payed for a first class job,why settle for a poor job,it should be replaced for free.Bill
