Beast i would say 850/900 ( 900 high end ) if the engine has all the other stuff working right.
Just to give you a comparison. Scott Schaffiroff is known for advertising HEALTHY hp ranges on his engines....Not that i support his engines or that i would buy one..but i think comparing his HP ranges will get you in the ball park.
( for the record i am a PAR man)

on his site the 540ci ranges from 825hp to 860hp..

Had a comparable combo several years ago. It made right around 825hp if my memory is right.

And I have a Victor 454 R intake. Same heads as yours too.

Hey David, any luck selling your dragster? What are you planning on running this coming season?

My car with a factory block 454 with aluminum heads weighed 2820 with NO DRIVER and 4 gallon of fuel.It also had manual drumb brakes on the front at that time.

Now it has the 540 with a MerlinIII block , which I'm sure is heavier..but I put light weight brakes up front..so I'm not sure how much heavier it is now vs then...I am 220lbs so that was 3040 with the old motor..so I am gona guestimate 3100lbs or so...but the 2820 was actual weight on scale not guestimate.

I have only made two passes with this motor combination...First pass was only a partial..my electric shifter took a dump( car was flooded as in river water back in June submerging all the electrical stuff) and I had to shift manually( gasp).. Well I forgot to shift.... ops: it hit the chip so I let off.

Second pass I shifted it...can't tell ya what rpm though...

It went a 6.10 @ 110 in the eighth and the 60' was 1.31 I am confident it will go in the 5.85-5.9x range easily. I think the mph was low because I have not done anything with the carb jetting and such.I also got out of it a bit early...I let up at the 1st marker cone at the end which is the first of 2 mph beams I am told...doubt it makes much difference.

Its actually on its way out the door maybe early next week if the deals go right, as a roller. No points @ 131 for me next year, will run big $$ stuff again, the worst of people come out at ALL tracks during a points deal.
How about you ?

Yeah that was to bad they didn't make up the last points race. It could've made a difference. As for me I'm probably gonna run 131 only, it's close to home and I have a really good pit crew that really helps me out alot. Looking forward to getting my new combo together and get it dialed in. But it looks like it's going to be a long winter, as we have already had about 10" of snow and they're calling for 6" to 12" more by morning. Good luck next year and let me know what you get for your next ride.
