That may have been a 2 stroke "triple" as they were called, they were super fast bikes in their day!

Hi Dirk!

Here is a pic of the FJ1200, this is a spitting image of the one I had.

Here is a pic of a 'triple', these were 2 stroke street terrors till the EPA outlawed them..

Chris, are you sure that bottom pic is a two stroke? The pipes don't have expansion chambers on them. I know the two stroke triple Kawasaki that my uncle had did have expansion chambers. Just wondering.

Curtis the earlier bikes really didnt have the chambered mufflers, I searched for some more pics of an RD350 and they all had those straight looking pipes. heres another one

In 1984 I owned on of the last street legal 2 strokes made, it was a Yamaha RZ350, that little bike was wicked but ran out of juice at about 100mph. It came from the factory with expansion chambers. Sold it to buy the FJ in 1986 and my buddy I sold it to wiped it out 1 month later.

The last bike I had was a 76 KZ900. I sold it (in 95) shortly after I got married. Man was I an idiot!
