MMP gone for good.
I read on another local forum tonight where the formery MMP is a goner.
The word is a R&R outfit bought it 2 months ago and thats it a done deal.
Going to make it a switching yard.
They've already demo'd the grandstands, all they are waiting for now is for them (dover) to finish removing all their stuff and then they are going to level the place, including the famed dragstrip, SCCA road course & Nascar 3/4 mile banked asphalt oval & all associated buildings.
It's a Sad thing to hear/report I sure hate we lost another track - not much we could do about it though, chaulk up 1 for big money 0 racers.

Well crap, I attended nearly every Super Chevy held there. After going to the one in Belle Rose, and Huntsville, I honestly don't know where to go for my one big yearly race trip, as the others don't compare...

I belive the super chevy show was held in erwinville(http://www.statecapitolraceway.com/images/gm2010.gif)not belle rose whitch is no problem raceway,I do agree that MMP was a good place to hold a super chevy event.
