squirters

Default squirters

the threads in carb that hold squirters in is stripped. is the any way to fix? not the screw. the part in carb. any help thanks, john

They can be hilicoiled, but i don't know what thread (dia)and pitch(threads per inch) they are. you will also have to use a good sealant, probably a high-temp RTV, but they can be fixed to save the carb body.

It is an odd size, a 12-24. If you are in a hurry you can get the heli-coil kit at www.blp.com

You can find them on ebay as well, just takes time. Might also find one at NAPA. And NO RTV. The gasket at the top and bottom of the squirter seal it, RTV will mess things up.

Remember that this is a banjo type screw. The fuel has to be able to ride up the side of the screw to get out the squirter.
