Default What Gear

You have a lot of questions to answer. How much strip, how much street? Will you be doing alot of Highway driving etc. Once you decide all this, then you can select a workable gear ratio. My experience has been that a 3:55 or 3:70 might be a good alternative rear gear.

Default GEARS

I chose a 4:11 for my new 9". It does 3500 rpm at 65. But, I'm shooting to break 12 from my 12.8 run. I was running 3:55 8".

S-10 aint that heavy so if your 75 percent street with 28" or shorter tire I'd go with 3:55 gears.
