I posted my first item on RJ and got an aggressive text from James Lawson 785-363-0442. He is in Canada but will have his shipper take it to Kansas after the Certified Cashier's Check comes is two business days. He's going to have his banker mail it, and shipper pick it up once I give him my name and address.

Strange wording:
"My name is James Lawson. I will like to know the availability of the McDowell OHV for Model A. I'm actually offering you $5000 (asking price $5500). Please get back to me asap..Thank you."
"I'm glad to let you know that I'm purchasing it asap."
"So let's proceed with the payment"

Anyone heard from this guy? Too many strange things make me uncomfortable.

Beware of James Lawton. He has not asked one thing about the engine. All discussion has been for name and address.

Standard foreign bull scam artist. Do not respond. It will cost you money if you deposit his check when it comes back bogus 2 weeks after you ship the engine.

They do everyone that way, don't fell special. Just ignore them and keep putting your ads on Racing Junk. Still the best place to buy and sell car parts. I have over 100 buy/sales on RJ and very few issues.
