Default header evac

I have a 1983 s-10 w/ 383sbc, iron heads "nuthin fancy" just a weekend toy. I have purchased the moroso header evac kit and I need to know how far from the collector this pipe inserts should be installed. I am using the hedman s-10 shorty headers with a 3" extension coming down and turning out under the door, this is a race only setup. I appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Generally you put them within 2 or 3 inches of the header flange inside the collector.

I'd say either right before the ninety degree bend or right after it where the collector is straight.

If you have the shorties, I think you will need to put them in the pipe further downstream, after it makes the turn from the firewall should be fine...
