Default pros and cons of 350 or 400 mains in blown alky sbc

which would be a better choice for blown alcohol small block chevy and why?

400 mains because the crank would be stronger because of overlap on rod and mains

As Terry said 400 mains would be the only way to go.we have built several blown and turbo small blocks one turbo sb2.2 making 2230 H.P.
at that power level you need to have a crank made with .187 radius on all the journals in order to keep it from cracking.with the blower you will also need a crank with a big block snout and dual key ways. Bill

also do not forget the crank hub......harmonic balancers are a BIG NO-NO.

i agree with bill on the crank radius and the duel key ways big block snout. i wont start anything on the 400 or 350 mains. good luck with the build
