Hey spib;

1st; There are two types of switches, normally open and normally closed.

Normal open, no contact till pushed. Normal closed, has contact, breaks it when pushed.

You can use either one, just depends on whether it's mounted in front or behind the pedal arm.

Make sense?

it makes sence, I have the switches mounted stock the way they are, and trying to figure out how to make it work, it is the opposite right now of what I want, maybee hooked up to sterring collume harness changed it, but I want to go from switch right to rear brake lights

Two choices;

1) Get the opposite type switch, same location
2) Same switch, other side of pedal.

Either one, swiched power in, out directly to brake light post, assuming you've got a standard 1157 bulb, one element tail, other brake/turn.
