what if
I installed brackets on my 80 malibu that lower and relocate the lower arms on rear axle.Something I never checked is how much farther forward the axle moved from its stock location. Now I think I have damaged my trans.I think that on launch the yoke is botteming out on the trans output shaft?Any thoughts?

IF THE BRACKETS LOWERED and happened to pull the rearend foward at the same time--it could very easily bang into the trans at launch--it could be tipping the nose of the rearend down and at launch it drives foward under power while raising up
set the car on the tires and measure your wheelbase longways / sideways and diagonaly to see if everything matches properly to the original measurements
then raise all the tires off the ground[ keeping it level side to side] and do the measurements again
if anything is crooked it will show
check your new brackets for tightness and ripping in the welds/ fasteners/ and brackets--i have seen new stuff FAIL alot
