Truely a sad day, Grumpy was one of the most respected engine builders of all times and one of the people who came up with new ideas that worked and made drag racing sm and bg/blk engines what they are today. He will be missed and there may never be another.

The advances in American race engine technology is a direct result of gearheads like the Grump thinking outa the box and truly dedicating every ounce of their 'selves' to their mission.
Thank for the memories Mr J.

Terrible news. I dont mean to sound rude or cold hearted about this. Sorry if it sounds that way. But you hang out with some old timers pick their brains while you can. They won't be around forever. If you truly want to listen, they will be glad to talk to you. Believe me.Ive asked simple questions and ended up talking for hours to some local old timers. Guys I never knew even fooled with cars, let alone built and raced them! Learn from THE BEST while you have the opportunity. Its better than any school or book.

And Grumpy was definitely one of THE BEST. No doubt

Alot of knowledge left the world today.
