3.29 here. what pisses me off so much is there is no need for it to be that high. our governent doesnt want it to go down because now we must consider their green eco junk boxes.my daily 62 galaxie gets about 13 miles to the gal. good enough for me.never had anything get much better.

NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- The United States for the first time in nearly 20 years has become a net exporter of fuel as domestic consumers face with high gasoline prices, data indicate.

Records from the U.S. Energy Department indicate that the United States, the world's biggest consumer of oil, exported more gas than it purchased from the global market for the first time in years.

We're exporting gasoline to countries who are used to paying higher prices, so there is no pressure to lower the price.

That's always been one of my major bitching points. Here i Louisanna, we're leasing drilling rights to major oil producers, pulling our resourses and selling it to the highest bidder, while we as American's are paying more for gas than some of the countries that have no oil. We were 3.35 today, i can drive across the Miss. bridge and pay .020 less, makes no sense to me. Alaska one uf the biggest oil producers, are paying over $4.00 per gal. Go figure.

MEMRACING62/Mike you are correct, i was working at a Machine shop in Elk Grove Il. in the 60's when Alcoa decide to sell Alum. Ingot's to Japan, we was paying $.080 a lb. for american Alum. the Japan industries, starting selling Alum. for $.060 a lb., it took a couple yrs. time for it to take hold, but within 3 yrs. the japanese owned the Alum market. We've been giving away America for the last 50 yrs. and i don't think it will change in my lifetime. Just look at the car market, over 40% of the sales are foriegn cars. Sorry for the Rant, but i too am pissed and see no way out as long as we have the money greedy politicans that we have in office.
