It funny cause we always say "DRAW is the best kept secret in drag racing!" We are really pushing this year to get the word out, using forums like this where the drag racers hang out works best for me. Most of the ladies on the Board are in their 60 and 70's so social media is beyond their grasp. I hope nobody I know on here ever needs it too.

NHRA Pro Stock racers Rodger Brogdon and Steve Kent have always been huge contributors to DRAW over the years. They picked up this bad ars pit car at a drag race and have donated it to DRAW for our annual auction in Dallas at the AAA Texas. Its has a plastic sb chevy mock up block with real valve covers, hi rise intake and dual quads. Custom made front straight axle, V-2 Briggs and Stratton motor, JR dragster rear slicks and a cut down 9" ford rear axle housing that covers the chain drive. It will run 50 mph and hold a full sized adult. I cant wait to see what this bad boy sells for.
Thanks again to Steve and Rodger for all they do for DRAW :!:

I hope so DD! The starting bid is $5K, I am hoping someone like John Force or Texas Motorplex owner Billy Meyer step up with some big bids. We are really excited and have hopes that it ends up selling in the $20K plus range. The wife and I have made reservations to fly down and spend the weekend working the auction, we went down 2 years ago and had a great time. The people in Texas are some of the nicest people you can ever meet and some of the biggest contributors to DRAW.

Oh yeah, can not forget the Premiere Item of the auction!

Steve Kent and Rodger Brogdon have done it again, offering up a great donation to DRAW! This 1957 Chevy "pitcar" will be a featured item at DRAW's annual auction at the Texas Motorplex during the AAA Texas Fall Nationals on Saturday night September 21st. The pitcar is a custom made fiberglass shelled replica 1957 Chevy Bel Air, hand crafted frame and suspension. The valve covers, headers, hi-rise intake manifold and dual carbs are attached to a plastic mockup small block Chevy motor. It is powered by a 2 cylinder Briggs & Stratton motor. The rear tires are worn down Jr Dragster slicks, a Ford 9" rear axle housing was cut down and modified to cover the chain driven drive sprocket. This car will hold a full sized adult and word has it this amazing little machine will run almost 50mph! This car will be one of many highlights at the Dallas auction. DRAW again thanks Steve and Rodger for all they do for our charity.

If anybody is going to the NHRA Route 66 nationals in Joliet this weekend make sure to stop by the DRAW booth (located in the Lincoln Welder/K&N manufacturer tent on the midway) and say "hello" this weekend!

As some of you know I have been involved with the Drag Racing Association of Women (let the flaming begin) for over 15 years and currently hold the position of Vice President of the Board of Trustees
For those of you that dont know what DRAW does, it is a charity foundation that give financial and emotional support to to any racer or team member that is injured while attending a sanctioned drag race. We have given almost 5 milllion dollars to over 800 families in the last 30 years.
Every year we have a large charity auction at The Texas Motorplex on Saturday night after qualifying of the AAA Texas Fall Nationals.
I hope to see some of you there!

Here is a short list of some of the major items we will be auctioning off that evening.

1. Extremely rare piece-there may not be another set like this. Set of six cards from the 60th U.S. Nationals in 2014 commemorating the six most memorable events from the 60 years of the U.S. Nationals. Not only is this the complete set of six, but each of the six is signed on the back by the racers depicted on the card. The cards are framed in a clear glass frame so you can see both sides of the cards. It’s doubtful that the winner of this item will ever see another set of these.
2. Kenny Youngblood “King of Speed” lithograph signed by Youngblood, Kenny Bernstein and Dale Armstrong.
3. Kenny Youngblood “In the Spotlight” lithograph signed by Youngblood and John Force
4. Kenny Youngblood “Rock ‘N Roll Racing” lithograph signed by Youngblood and John Force
