Dart 360 also isnt the best head it'd work better but there is several other options, Dart 355, BMF 385/405, BB3X's Oval or Rect.

no problem, what were you looking to run with it ? Converter will be key to fast, these big motors are picky.

1820lbs is very light so 7.30's isnt out of the question if you get everything right. Still think either sending them heads to someone or getting a different set would help. My 582 goes 7.50's all year long here in michigan heat, its pretty basic but does have bmf heads on it. Car also weighs 1960lbs. Being you are located over on the east coast, its pretty common to be faster over there also, so 7.30's should be had.

I can also suggest going here http://www.speierracingheads.com/ and talk to him if you can not come up with another set of heads. Chad is a heck of a guy.

YOU CAN RUN SPACERS OR GET A 10.2 TALL DECK INTAKE. EITHER WAY WILL WORK. GOOD LUCK

Default Head size

Get ahold of Curtis Boggs, and he can help you out a bunch as he knows what works with what combo. He is on this site but is very busy lately with his company. Good luck.
