Default Running Side windows

Anyone know what the rules say about not running side windows in a door car? I am building a '76 vette and would prefer to not run any side glass. thanks

Don't know for sure how that would work with NHRA, the rules specify that the compitition #'s must be displayed on the side windows, and with that being a coupe with only one side window :?: I know that you can't paint the #'s on the body panels of a full bodied car.

NHRA track, you wont get past the water box.

A Outlaw track, you might get away with it once or even twice, but after that they'll be on you like white on rice.

It's just not a acceptable practise.

Now, my question to you sir is why? Why would you even consider it?

If you must feel the wind in your hair running down the strip, buy a rail or altered.

I ran a '71 LTD convertible at the track once. The top had all the mechanical parts but no material. They let me race with the top down but made me roll the windows up.

Even if they let you race without windows, they would probably consider it an open cockpit car and you would have to follow the rules accordingly.
