Default help with wiring a rpm switch to a shift solenoid!!!!

i have a NOS RPM WINDOW SWITCH and i am trying to wire a electric shift solenoid with it but i can't get the rpm switch to activate the solenoid if possible a diagram or any wiring help or scamatics!!! thanks

The way mine is set up the switch does not activate the solenoid, it kills the ground to it. It has a spring on it. When the ignition is on 12 volts goes to solenoid and holds plunger back...when it hits the rpm the switch is set at it cuts the ground to thev relay and the spring pushes the shifter fwd. Mine is not a window switch though...it is just an MSD RPM switch

I think most all electric shift solenoids work the way Tod explained, the window switch or rpm switch only drops the grounds out.
