x2, x3 and x4 were referring to all using the ARP sealer. I would avoid head studs unless the block has blind holes, that do not go into the water jacket. You can get them to seal, but it is a pain in some cases. You could also try a non-hardening sealer like Permatex teflon or Aviation Permatex.

I don't remember what it is called, but I had a bottle of thread sealant that my old man had around the garage for years...it was in a General Motors container that stuff was great.
