It looks to me that you are right in the wheelhouse of what Lunati suggests for that cam. It will need the gear in a 355 and that heavy of a car. The extra lift on the exhaust will be a good thing.

Why the cast crank though? For a 3.48 stroke you can buy even 5140 steel cranks dirt cheap. It says 2800 on that cam but it's not going to want to be lugged. Spin the heck out of it. Just my opinion.

Keep good fuel in it. Also it won't have the best street manners, but have fun.

Default combo

Probably a good set up, but a 4:88 gear is sorta tall for the street, it should RPM and chill out some talkers Good Luck

i run cams around the grind you haveand i like them . with what you got you should be able to shut alot of mouths on the street.and those 4.88 gears are alot on the street. but if you aint going far and fast they will be ok.stay away from interstates and you should be good.they are great for weekend cruzin and street racin. ive run them too. im always lookin for that one last gear that aint there.lol

I laughed when I read your post as it reminded me of a kid I knew in high school. He had a 67 Camaro Z-28 and installed 6.14 rear gears. Nobody and I mean nobody could touch him stop sign to stop sign. At least his M22 rock crusher was close ratio...

yep yep my pops ran 5.13's....ive ran with cars with quite a few more hp than mine and ive never been left on ever.... the tall gears are a blast on the street i love them around town... some of our stop lights are only about 1 block between each other so it works in my advantage
