Is it a racing fram filter? Designed for high oil pressure?

I think motors tear up and destroy filters

I had a fram on a sbc with the bypass plugged in a dragster , made 2 passes on fresh oil and filter , lost pressure while on return road , shut it off and pulled it back to truck , I thought the worst and a friend of mine said to check the filter , we did and it was collapsed. ..borrowed a wix from another racer and fired it back up , full pressure , have been useing wix or napa (same filter) ever since with never a problem ,

Has anyone used or use the K&N oil filters?

JimmySmith, how is the motor in the car or did it do any damage?
Tcarda: I use the K&N (HP3100? I think). anyways, last 2 oil changes have been fine & I use a single remote system. Good Luck. Scooter

I run Fram filter on an Aluminum sprint car SBC. BUT filter is HP4 ir HP1 Fram filter would'nt think of puting a stock filter on as I have 80 lbs pressure. never any bad luck with those.
