Default offset pinion

I can get a 9" housing from a buddy of mine for free.It is already narrowed and is the exact size I need.Pure luck. The thing is,it has a centered hogs head, which puts the pinion off to one side about 1-1.5".I was wondering what this would hurt,if anything.I'm concerned about u-joints busting, but mainly scared of snapping a tailshaft housing. What do ya'll think about aluminum center sections.I'm a Chevy guy lost in Ford's world of wierdness.HELP ME :?[img][/img]

Since you have basically the same post in the chassis section I am going to lock this one and ask that responders go to the chassis section. No need to crosspost in different sections.
