Last year it was a '98 Dogde 1500 Quad cab. I pulled a '78 malibu on an open trailer. It did just fine.
This year it will be a '03 Chevy Ext. cab 2500 HD. I'll have an enclosed trailer. Probably a 24' with an altered in it.

I have a 22' A Class 1979 Dodge Empress 440 motorhome(aka "The Toaster",wife says gotta get that AC working!). Works great for pulling my 24' inclosed car trailer. With a small family it's perfect. Pack the barbeque all the food, toys and what ever. Only gets 8mpg but I save on motel rooms and can pull over where ever I want to sleep. It has all the comforts of home and cruises 60 to 65mph no problem. Although my truck got 14 pulling the trailer but then the kids were in my ears.
Yup.....wouldn't trade "The Toaster" for anything

We tow with a Ford F250 power stroke and had a 28ft enclosed. Believe it or not it works better when it is towing. Lots of power. I talked my wife into getting a new motorhome. It is a 36 ft. Outlaw, class A with a garage in the back. (the only one I was told) I told her we would be staying over night at the tracks and we were going to try a lot of places so it would be better than getting a motel. Then we sold the Vega. ANYONE WANT TO BUY A CLASS A TOYHAULER THAT GET 5 MPG OUCH

We use a 34 foot Damon Daybreak Clas A motorhome. It's the only way to go imo. all the comforts of home right there at the track. Kids get bored they go in a watch tv or play a game. If its hot outside, go in to the ac and get cooled off. Nothing beats it. It pulls just fine.
