Default Airplane fuel?

I have a 383 stroker i just built 10.25 to 1 ratio. I am running 91 octane in it right now. But I have access to airplane fuel for free~ I heard it was to dry ? Can I mix it with 87?

I used to run it straight several years ago. Never had any problems with it. You might have to go a little richer on your jetting though. JMO!

Interesting idea... that stuff (M/MO) has many uses & has been around forever. Av-Gas: My dad used it in a small engine airplane. We have low lead & regular here. It is about 100 Octane. It is usable & can mixed with other fuel. It is not the easiest to get however... he has to buy it for me @ the airports. Scoot

I used to run my 496 and 572ci on Avgas, 100 octane, but it got harder to get. The pumps here now sell 100 octane fuel from BP Mobil etc but its not cheap.

is the airplane 100 octane a lead free fuel? torc series says we have to run a lead free with no additives.. anyone figure out how i can get higher than the premium pump fuel and still pass their inspection?
