Default Howards Pro-Max Roller Lifters

I'm thinking about using the Pro-Max direct lube solid roller lifters on my new SBC stroker engine. 240# closed seat pressure and .700" lift.

So, what is everyone's opinion on these Howards lifters, which are their top-end solid roller lifter?

Also, Comp has their new Elite Race lifters coming out which look really good. But, it doesn't look like they will be avaiable until after the first of the year.

Thanks,
Warren

Got a set of Comps standard solid rollers (PART # 819) in a bbc. Holding up great and 700# springs and some rpms. Heard good things about the howards parts though never used them. Fixing to try a set of their springs,so we'll find out

Warren,
From what I have read there are only about 3 or 4 companies that make lifters and that they private label them for others. I would be if they look like what I see in the picture on Competition Products page I would bet they are made by Morel. I haven't personally used those lifters but have used Morels with good luck.

Howards Cams has an advertisment and photo of their Pro-Max lifters in National Dragster, Issue 43, page 12 (Nov 13, 2009).

I also have the Competition Products catalog, which I believe is the same company as Howards Cams. The lifters list for $581.96 with off-set intakes for a SBC. Which is a decent price for top-end lifters.
