Default converter question

what is a good #percentage wise for top end converter slippage?my beretta at 165 mph if you do the math should be turning 7300 rpm in traps but its turning 8000 rpm.

4% in a good one to 7% on a greasy one. You are over 10% it appears.

According to three different calculators my Neal Chance aluminum convertor has 1% slip.

2-4% is ideal, 6-8% is ok, 10% + isnt so great

converters are my kroptanite ...... never really understood them..... ops:

how do you figure out your percentage?

you can use this formula trap speedxgear ratio x .336 divided by tire diameter should give rpm with no slippage,compare that with your rpm in traps to find how much your converter is slipping.
