Default got me another .22 rifle

got another one for my collection i helped some friends move a few weeks ago and behind an old corner china hutch that has been there since they moved.... we found a bolt action model 80 marlin firearms .22......now the model 80 was only made from 1930 to 1953! someone had painted the whole thing with black paint they dont like guns and asked if i wanted it.... i said hell yeah so i spent a few days and tore it down and used aircraft stripper on all the metal but left the black on the wooden stock. got it all back together and shoots like a dream and now you can see the beautiful chrome bolt and trigger too

I've still got the JC Higgens single shot 22 that my dad gave me for my 8th b day. Open sites and if I can see it, I can hit it. The seeing part is making the hitting parts closer and closer though !

I also have a sweet old Marlin Model 88 semi-auto 22 caliber rifle. Its my "yard gun". Many a squirrel and possum have met their demise from that old gun. I have been pulling the trigger on that one since I was 10 years old. First gun my Grandpa ever gave me.
Marlin guns are well made and if you just take care of them, they last forever!

Well done. Indeed a good score. I really like the single bolt action/open sights because you make every shot COUNT... you get one-chance to hit the mark usually... it will make you a better shooter.
