Default Powerglide Question

Sorry, still learning. Can someone tell me what this plug is & what it's used for on my powerglide tranny? Thanks http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...st/PGPlug2.jpg

Ok, it's a little loose and leaking a little fluid. I didn't want to tighten it if it was going to cause problems.

You can pull it out and put an o-ring on it. Also a small seal inside to seal the gear.

Probably a dumb question, but why would it start leaking all of sudden? I probably put 60 passes on it with no problem.

I agree, remove all the speedo "stuff", install I think it's a 3/4 freeze plug in and call it done.

If drag car. As above. Remove and install a frost plug. If not, Auto meter make a good speedo sending unit for the glide
