I picked up the 750 dp and I 'm getting a edelbrock victor jr intake tommorrow. I dont plan on playing with NOS what cam would you recomend for the nastiest possible sbc with these specs .60 over around 10.2-1 comp. edelbrock perf. rpm heads and the carb and intake I said. This car will be driven on the street but doesent need manners ( I barely have any myself) I just wanna go fast

I had a similar spec motor back in the day in a 67 'bu with a 4 speed. I had a 295/.555 flat tappet on 108 centers. I really liked that combo...

I ran a lunati bracket master cam in one of my BBC's (396) it was ok, nothing to brag about, ended up swapped it out for a CC after it rolled a few lobes.
I ran a simlar set-up as you, I ran a comp cams 305 magnum in my 358 SBC, it ran like a scaled ape.
IMO, You need more compression to wake your combo up though.

how much compression will I need to wake it up?? I'm kinda on a limited budget I was hoping to just get away with the carb, intake and cam.

Going up to at least 12.5 is optimum, but anything over 11 to 1 and you'll be buying racing fuel so keep that in mind.
Keep your current cam in there and just upgrade to a good single plane (vic jr) and a bigger carb, something like around A 750 CFM double pumper will be a night and day difference, then you can save up for bigger pistons later on.

I had a 305 magnum in my 400 sb....525 lift. That thing pulled really hard above 4000. Swapped it for the 292 with .507 lift and it liked it much better...was a heavy car.
