Default 23 DEGREE HEADS

I know that there is 18 and 15 degrees for race engines, but i was trying to find out what a 350 block is and does the diffrent degrees come in on the intake side or the block side. I have a set of patriot heads on a 383 with a air gap rpm intake is this 23 deg. or something else. Has anyone used the patriot heads with 2.05 intake and 1.96 exhaust just wondering if they were any good.

The degrees refer to the valve angle in relationship to the bore. Your Patriots are 23 degree. Same as stock. Rolling the valve angles allows staighter ports and better flow....15 & 18 degree heads require special intakes, headers, valvetrain parts, etc but make big power. Esecially on big inch small blocks.
