3.1L air filter change
i don't know why but every time i change the air filter the car
runs like the oxygen sensor is bad, the first time i changed the
sensor but it would still choke, and turn off when you stop at a
light, but as you heat the engine up the problem stops and it
does this for a week then it all completly stops and all is back
to normal, this time all i removed was part of the air/inlet tube
the car has 85k miles 3.1 pass car, lumina, and it runs great,
is there something that needs to be cleaned or changed, thanx :?

Sounds like your throttle body needs cleaning.
Its best to remove it but it can be cleaned on the car, just use some carb cleaner and a cheapo tooth brush to scrub away all the deposits in and around the throttle blade. The idle air bypass solenoid could be sticking too. Just take the hose off that feeds it and spray it liberally with some wd-40 and they usually free up nicely. Also if you run regular unleaded all the time its a good idea to run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner when you fill up at least once a month and I'm not talking about that cheap $1 dollar a bottle either, spring for the good stuff.
Hope this helps, Charles

man thanx charles, i did clean the body but not where it feeds thru,
i will do that i have used the lucas injector cleaner, is that better, or
should i use the bk44, thats 20 bucks for a bottle, and again thanx.
the car runs great, and it does not waste gas, a tank will last a wk
and a half. have a safe day 8)
