Default Air Shifter Pressure

I am trying to find out how much pressure is needed to operate an air shifter. I have a rpm switch that sends the signal to a solenoid on the shifter but I want to make sure I have enough air pressure in the bottle before I make a pass. Also what should the regulator be set at and how many passes should a bottle last? I know this is most probably a dumb question but just got the car and trying to figure it out.

Thanks

Hello, I have had my bottle as low as 50psi and it still worked. What size bottle do you have? Are you using CO2? I try to never let my bottle get below 300psi. I will go throw 2-3 10oz bottles a season, as long as I don't forget to shut it off when done. Matt
